The XI521001 communication module enables the connection of devices with an RS232 interface to a ctrlX I/O station. Serial communication operates independently of the overlying bus system in full-duplex mode at up to 250 kBaud. Receive and transmit buffers, each with 511 bytes, allow for the rapid transmission and reception of large, contiguous data streams.

The logic and peripheral power supply as well as the EtherCAT-based module communication are forwarded through the module.

The corresponding ESI files are available for integration into the higher-level system.
