The XI613201 encoder module allows the connection of a 24 V incremental encoder (24 V HTL) to a ctrlX I/O station. It can evaluate input frequencies up to 100 kHz. Alternatively, it can be used as a forward/downward counter. The 24 V encoder power supply can be connected directly via the module's terminals. The four additional digital inputs, implemented using 2-wire technology, are used for acquiring application-specific signals (e.g., lock, store, reference).
The logic and peripheral power supply as well as the EtherCAT-based module communication are forwarded through the module.
The corresponding ESI files are available for integration into the higher-level system.
