The XI613101 encoder module allows the connection of an incremental encoder with differential signals (RS422) to a ctrlX I/O station. Input frequencies up to 1 MHz can be evaluated. Alternatively, the module can be used as a forward or backward counter. The 5 V encoder supply can be connected directly via the module's terminals. The four additional digital inputs, implemented using 2-wire technology, are used for acquiring application-specific signals (e.g., lock, store, reference).

The logic and peripheral power supply as well as the EtherCAT-based module communication are forwarded through the module.

The corresponding ESI files are available for integration into the higher-level system.
