The XI190202 digital input module is used to acquire binary 24 V control signals in a ctrlX I/O station. The module features two channels and a two-wire interface. The signal status is indicated by the channel LED on the detachable peripheral connector. The signals are sampled at an adjustable sampling rate (oversampling factor n) relative to the bus cycle time. The module provides n bits of process data for each bus cycle, which are then transmitted in the next bus cycle. Input acquisition is synchronized with other EtherCAT devices using a distributed clock for high precision. To suppress interference, the inputs are filtered with a 1 μs filter.

The logic and peripheral power supply as well as the EtherCAT-based module communication are forwarded through the module.
