The InfluxDB app is an open source time series database developed by InfluxData and adapted for ctrlX AUTOMATION. The database is optimized for highly available data query and enables fast storage of time series data in areas such as operational monitoring, IoT data and real-time analytics. The database's performance ranges from processing hundreds of data points per second to large data volumes.

The InfluxDB database management system is written in Google's Go programming language (also known as Golang). InfluxDB 2.0 is based on a new language called Flux . Flux is optimized for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes in databases. Its syntax is similar to the popular JavaScript programming language, making it easy to learn and extensible. A key advantage of Flux is the ability to integrate various data sources, for example via third-party APIs.
