The industrially suitable and long-term available control platform ctrlX CORE has a wide range of applications and can be used, for example, in PLC applications in the general mechanical engineering market, via motion applications for simple handling tasks, as well as a purely open and industrially suitable control platform for customer-specific expertise.
With numerous features at all levels – from design and performance to software and networking – Bosch Rexroth offers far more than just a high-performance controller. ctrlX CORE is the integrated, flexible, and open control platform that equips every factory for the future.
ctrlX CORE consistently relies on EtherCAT as its standard automation bus and integrates seamlessly into the standardized ecosystem with end-to-end engineering. At the same time, the platform supports all common communication standards for connecting to the IT level. The Linux-based operating system is open to the integration of all ctrlX CORE and ctrlX WORKS engineering applications, as well as those of other partners and customer-specific applications. The integrated ctrlX Data Layer manages communication between the applications in both real-time and non-real-time.
The ctrlX Device Portal allows for centralized management of controllers and remote maintenance and updates. Certified according to IEC 62443, ctrlX CORE securely connects the machine to the IT infrastructure.
